Raven Valley Irish Dance offers Irish dance lessons and performances in the Solano, Yolo, and Sacramento county region of Northern California. Classes reflect a traditional style of dancing using the standards of CRN (Cumann Rince Naisiunta). Classes and workshops are available for ages 4 and up in step (solo) and ceili (group figure) dance. Adult beginners and families are welcome. Classes feature a non-competitive focus, with the emphasis on fun, exercise, history & culture, and performance. Form, timing, and traditional movement are the keys to being able to successfully perform our dances. Students are encouraged to learn at their own rate. Our dancers are encouraged to show off their steps through dance-out and recitals. We also offer performances and workshops for weddings, school and library events, and many other festive occasions. Raven Valley Irish Dance is proud to be an affiliate of CRN. |
